In 1996 Richard Saul Wurman described information architecture as “the creating of systemic, structural, and orderly principles to make something work – the thoughtful making of either artifact, or idea, or policy that informs because it is clear.” [1, p.16] In fact, Wurman coined the phrase information architecture in his 1976 program for the American Institute of Architects annual meeting.
